Cyber-SIGN ®, is a pen-based, online signature verification system that uses biometrics to verify the identity of an individual. Using client-server architecture, the Cyber-SIGN client captures various measurements of the signature as it is being written, such as the shape, speed, pen pressure and air-stroke movements, and sends them to the Cyber-SIGN server for verification. The Cyber-SIGN server compares these characteristics with the stored signature template and determines if the signature meets the minimum threshold to grant the user access. The Cyber-SIGN client is simply a set of libraries whose functions are to capture the signature data and send them to the server. Cyber-SIGN can be integrated into any of today's applications to make them more secure, providing confidentiality, integrity, and accountability.
